I would consider this to be the 1st single off my first album "Awakening" if I were to ever get signed. It's fast, aggressive, and has a catchy hook at the chorus. I think this is a good first impression of what "Awakening" has in store for listeners.Concerning sound quality: Like all my tracks, this was done in GarageBand in my bedroom.
thanks alot everyone!
Excellent track bro. Also enjoyed the other ones. Solid songwrting skills and a mean axe slinger to boot! More than happy to add you to my favs. Rock On!
This rocks dude! I also am not a fan of the harsh vox in the start, but you do it well. Great production. I'm new to metal, you have it down. Rates! Welcome!
verses remind me of static x the chorus is very korn...you used a very simular vocal melody to a korn track...one my fav bands :)i think this is tip top m8...it fcuking rocks :)\m/ \m/
Excellent track sounds well put together and bursting with confidence - welcome aboard! - jon
Although I don't like harsh vocals, I do like your clean singing style. Consequently I much prefer the latter half of the song, which features the extended melodic vocal/instrumental section. The overall production is superp, and the song has a great chorus, so this gets a rate from me!
oh hell yea! dude, you have a good singing voice and play a mean guitar. i'm not into the screaming but my kids are. i can dig it. have a rate bro.
thanks to Steve for steering me over here:) have no expertise in this genre but this had some very good performances in it on vox and guitar imo...lyrics also good..welcome to the site m8:) cheers melinda mohn
Sounds pretty cool to me,but im some bad speeks at work.. willenjoy this further at home!!!!
Love the Trivium sytle Breakdown and chorus, real quality aout the arrangement which is always important in creating a good metal track (as far as I am concerned tha is;) )Im also imressed that this was recorded in your bedroom. It has a nice quality in the sound on the guitars. The negitive parts to the track IMHO is the lead solo is a little flat in sound, it should stand out a bit more. And the drums, they sound great but could have had a few more tricks in there. The Good points are , recording, overall sound and the chorus works so well. Im impressed, Great Metal. Steve
Good production and some fine "struming" (hee hee). Good vox too. Excellent bedroom production. Me I'm a spare roomer too. Pulls a rate from me dude
Metal decorated by atmosphere and emotion... Rebirth to Ends is the creator of industrial-tinged alt-metal that will pound like happy spikes into your grateful mind as you are riveted to the wall by this pulsing, thriving heartbeat of sonic energy. The music is chock full of dynamics, with vocals shifting in style from clean to gritty to calling from a distance and the instrumental aspects move from deceptively calm melodic spots to surges of metallic aggression guaranteed to get your adrenaline flowing. Balance What makes Rebirth to Ends is its focus on both artistry and mainstream appeal. “I think good music is about balance between technique and commercial quality. It doesn't matter if you can do 30 sweeps in a solo if it doesn't serve the song or portray your emotions. At the same time, four power chords strummed over and over has never really hit me emotionally, nor has it impressed me,” according to Jonathan Allen. Emotions are also a vital part of Rebirth to Ends dedication to songwriting quality. A song must bear the emotional message of its creators. “If one of my songs seems like it means more to the listener than it does to me, I feel I've accomplished something special.” Work & Accomplishments Allen's previous act (Diagram the Fall) was offered a shot at opening for Dead Season (Maine's #1 metal act) after a single, solitary show. Rebirth to Ends is at work on its new release “Awakening” and a big chunk of material is also available for a follow-up release (and the first isn't even out yet!). All music on the album is written and performed by Allen. He is currently working with A&R Select, the leading independent A&R firm in Hollywood, CA. Review “Industrial grooves and crunchy metallic riffage unite in aggressive perfection with the music of Rebirth to Ends.” - A&R Select Note from Jonathan: "I'm basically a small-town college student who loves music. Where I live there aren't very many musicians in this genre, nor are there many venues to play at. I'm here to network my music as much as possible and to make connections with other artists looking to be heard.
This is my debut on MP3 Unsigned. I have heard really good things about this site from various people. My myspace account has recently been hacked and so I figured this was an opportune time to open an account here along side other musicians. I'll be posting updates on both my albums as I complete the material. Thanks for listening! Jonathan
The material that I have posted right now is from my first demo "Awakening." I have to finish the vocals on 2 more tracks for the entire 9-song disk to be finished. Since this was my debut solo product, I was very focused on creating dynamic tracks that embodied both my writing and technical skills. There is a wide variety of sonic material on this disk with songs ranging from fast and hard-hitting to slow-paced and emotionally charged. Lyrically the disk stems greatly from my personal experiences in life. I am nearing completion on all the music for my second album entitled "The Obligatory Harvest." After putting so much effort into "Awakening" and scrutinizing every song, I decided that my second effort would be more about me having fun as an artist and experimenting with different sounds. Being heavily influenced by Static-X, I am treating this disk as a pseudo homage to them by toning down the complexity a tad, and writing shorter, harder hitting songs that are just catchy and enjoyable to rock out to. For those of you wondering, all the material here is written and performed by me alone. I'm not rich so I used GarageBand as my sequencer. None of the tracks are mastered at this point but I think the quality is pretty decent considering I did all of this in my bedroom. Thanks for listening and enjoy!
